While selling an idea/product/service it's very important for the salesperson to explain things in short and then wait for questions to come from the beneficiary(customer/client). It's easy to get carried away by passion for what you think are the good things about what you are selling but then this doesn't ensure trust or acceptance in the other person. So speak to make him/her interested or excited in what you are selling. This is the first step ie., an arousal of interest. Don't give away all the details in the introductory speech, that would be a mistake. While uttering every sentence in the first speech try to see and study the situation in a larger perspective, in other words, BE WITH THE OTHER PERSON...in fact BE THE OTHER PERSON. This is a foolproof way to make the first good impression.
