READING THE MIND WITH 20 QUESTIONS EXERCISE

Asked the students to think of a fictional character from movies/stories/drama/novels and invited them one by one to answer a set of 20 questions. 

1. Is the person male?

2. Is he old/young/middle aged/in his 20s/30s/40s?

3. Is he tall/short/of medium height?

4. Is he fat/thin/lean/slim/well built?

5. Is he fair/dark/wheatish in complexion?

6. Does he have a round face/small eyes/wide forehead?

7. Does he have a thick/big/small mustache/long beard?

8. Does she have long/short hair?

9. Is he bald? Does she wear any ornaments/glasses?

10. Does he wear pants and shirt/dhoti/casual/formal dress?

11. Does he have a heavy/soft voice?

12. What's her job/profession?

13. What does she always think about?

14. How does she behave with people around her?

15. How is she in life situations?

16. With whom does he share his thoughts the most?

17. How does he spend his free time?

18. What are his values/principles?

19. Does he have social commitment?

20. How does he behave with children/elderly/women in general?

In this exercise a student has to come forward and speak to the audience about the thoughts of a fictional character (from movies/stories/drama/novels) in English sentences for one minute when that person is at a particular point in his/her life.

In this exercise students talk about a few minutes in their life when they were anxious about the outcome of a situation and had a hard time keeping their cool; when they prayed, hoped, wished for things to go well.

"GUESS THE DISH" GAME

In this game, a participant comes and speaks about a dish and asks the audience to guess the name of the dish that has just been described. The description can begin like: 

It is made of ...... (the ingredients)

It is healthy because .....

It is delicious because...... 

It is common in ........ (the place of origin)

"GUESS THE PARTICIPANT" - GAME

In this game, a participant comes and speaks about the four important aspects of a co-participant which are PERSONAL, EDUCATIONAL, FAMILY, CAREER and then asks the audience to guess the name of the person he/she has just described.

PERSONAL        A good singer

EDUCATIONAL   Malabar Christian College

FAMILY               Father in Gulf

"GUESS THE CHARACTER" SWOT - GAME

In this game, a participant comes and speaks about the SWOT(Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) of a character from a movie, novel, drama and asks the audience to guess the name of the fictional character  he/she has just described.

WEAKNESS           Innocent          

OPPORTUNITY      A TV show

In this game, a participant comes and speaks about the climax of a popular movie and asks the audience to guess the name of the movie that has just been described. The description can begin like: 

In the climax scene of the movie we see a man being shot by another man and the elderly man falls on the ground....
