EC - It's a Mind's Delight

Little drops of water,
Little grains of sand,
Make the mighty ocean
And the pleasant land.

Little deeds of kindness,
Little words of love,
Help to make earth happy,
Like the Heaven above.
Julia A. F. Carney

Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you:

But when the leaves hang trembling,

The wind is passing through.
Who has seen the wind?

Neither you nor I:

But when the trees bow down their heads,

The wind is passing by.

 Christina Rossetti

I am only one, but still I am one.
I cannot do everything, but still I can do something.
And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.

I thank God for my handicaps, for through them I have found myself, my work, and my god.
Helen Keller

Two roads converged in a wood, and I took the one less travelled by. And that has made all the difference.

The woods were lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep. And miles to go before I sleep. And miles to go before I sleep.
Robert Frost

Find a purpose, the means will follow.

You cannot teach a man anything;you can only help him/her to find it within him/her self.
 Galileo Galilei

"Whenever anyone has offended me, I try to raise my soul so high that the offense cannot reach it."
Rene Descartes

We have to be mature enough to realise that life is not fair. One can only give the best to the given situation s/he is in.
Stephen Hawking
 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Life is... but a walking shadow...a poor player
who "struts and frets" his hour upon the stage.
And then is heard no more.
It's a tale, told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
signifying nothing.
Shakespeare

Considering that, all hatred driven hence,
The soul recovers radical innocence
And learns at last that it  is self-delighting,
Self-appeasing, self-affrighting,
And that its own sweet will is Heaven's will;
She can, though every face should scowl
And every windy quarter howl
Or every bellows burst, be happy still.
From " A prayer for my daughter " by William Butler Yeats

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils;
Besides the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine

And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten saw I at a glance,
Tossing their in Sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they

Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed-and-gazed-but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie

In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
William Wordsworth
